Computer Integrated Systems Design

Every system on one bench, tuned until the digits agree. NINE

HASHTAG NINE CVCW, LLC is a computer integrated systems design studio working from the bench at 1337 E 750 N, Orem - 84097-5480, United States (US). We take fragmented sensors, controllers, panels and data paths and wire them into a single readable instrument. Nine digits, one glow, every system. See how the bench is wired →

A bench built for integration, not for guesswork

HASHTAG NINE CVCW, LLC exists because most operational systems are assembled in pieces and never brought back to a common surface. A building management platform speaks one protocol, a production floor speaks another, and a reporting layer speaks a third. The result is drift: readings that almost match, alarms that almost fire, and operators who learn to trust instinct over instrumentation.

Our discipline is integration as a craft. We begin by mapping what already exists, then we design a route for every signal, every command and every record so the whole system can be read at a glance. The bench metaphor is literal for us. We test, we meter, we adjust, and we only sign off when the digits settle into agreement across every layer.

We work with teams that run physical operations: manufacturers, utility operators, logistics yards, research facilities and multi-site service networks. Those teams do not need another dashboard bolted on top. They need the underlying integration to be designed with intent, documented, and maintainable by the people who stay after the consultants leave.

That is why every engagement ends with a playbook. The glow on the bench is only valuable if it can be reproduced next year, by a different technician, on a different shift, without a phone call to us at midnight.

The six tubes on our ladder

Each tube below describes one service we perform. They are ordered by the sequence in which they usually appear on a project, though real benches move back and forth. Every service is woven into a larger integration and none of them stands alone.

Integration Roadmapping

Before a single cable moves we chart the terrain. Integration Roadmapping turns a scatter of legacy controllers, newer sensors and half-finished pilots into a staged plan with clear ownership and a realistic sequence. The roadmap names what will be reused, what will be bridged and what will be retired, so no team is surprised late in the build.

Control Panel Engineering

Panels are where integration becomes physical. We design enclosures, terminal layouts, labeling schemes and operator surfaces that a technician can read under pressure. Control Panel Engineering produces drawings, bills of material and build notes that survive turnover, so the panel in the field matches the revision file every time.

Sensor Network Weaving

A modern facility is dense with measurement, yet most of it is never joined up. Sensor Network Weaving selects the right sensing points, chooses the transport for each zone, and merges the streams into one coherent picture with consistent units, time bases and naming. The result is a single truth about temperature, flow, position, vibration and state.

Edge Compute Deployment

Not every decision should travel to a distant server. Edge Compute Deployment places compact compute where the data is born, running filtering, buffering and local logic so the system keeps working when the network does not. We size the hardware to the duty cycle, harden it for the environment and keep it upgradeable without a full rebuild.

Data Highway Tuning

Once the signals exist and the compute runs, the highway has to carry them cleanly. Data Highway Tuning addresses bandwidth, latency, message priorities and fault recovery across the routes that connect floors, buildings and regions. We profile the real traffic, not the imagined traffic, and we tune the path until records arrive in order and on time.

Maintenance Playbooks

Integration that cannot be maintained is a liability. Maintenance Playbooks capture procedures, thresholds, spare parts and escalation paths in plain language, tied to the actual assets on site. We train the resident team, rehearse the failure cases and leave behind a document set that keeps the bench humming long after the project closes.

What a full engagement looks like

Survey and discovery

We walk the site, read the existing drawings, interview the operators and catalog every device we find. This stage is deliberately unhurried, because a missed controller becomes an expensive surprise later. We record what is connected to what, which systems depend on which, and where the current documentation has drifted from reality.

Architecture and routing

From the survey we draw the target architecture: which signals travel on which transport, where compute sits, and how the system degrades when a link drops. We define naming, units and retention so every team downstream inherits the same meaning from the same reading. This is the stage where integration is won or lost.

Build and bench test

Panels are assembled, edge nodes are provisioned, and the whole assembly is tested before it goes live. We recreate failure conditions on purpose, watch how the system recovers, and adjust thresholds until the response is predictable. Nothing ships to the field that has not first behaved well on the bench.

Commission and handoff

We commission in stages so operations never lose visibility, then we hand over drawings, playbooks and a trained resident team. A closing review confirms that every promised reading is live and every alarm has an owner. The bench is only complete when the client can run it without us.

HASHTAG NINE CVCW, LLC opens its autumn integration window for new computer integrated systems design work, and teams with fragmented benches are invited to reserve a survey slot early.

Field notes from the bench

A packaging line that stopped guessing

A regional packager ran three generations of controllers side by side, each with its own clock. We mapped the routes, standardized every timestamp and moved local logic to an edge node near the line. Operators now watch one readable face instead of three disagreeing ones, and the night shift trusts the count again.

A water district that learned its own flow

A small water district had meters in the field but no shared view of them. Sensor Network Weaving joined the wells, tanks and pressure points into one stream, and Data Highway Tuning kept the reports arriving on time over a thin rural link. Leak response moved from days to hours.

A research annex that outgrew its panels

A research annex added instruments faster than its panels could absorb them. We rebuilt the panels with clear labeling and spare capacity, deployed edge compute for the noisy instruments, and left a Maintenance Playbook the facility team still uses for every new addition.

Why teams keep the bench switched on

We integrate, we do not decorate

We are not a dashboard vendor and we do not sell a platform. Our work is the connective design underneath every platform, which is why it lasts across tool changes and vendor turnover.

We document as we build

Drawings, routing tables and playbooks are produced during the project, not reconstructed afterward. The client leaves with the same knowledge we used.

We design for the resident team

Every decision is judged by whether a competent technician can understand it a year from now without calling us. That standard keeps the system honest.

We tune until the digits agree

Our sign-off condition is simple: every layer of the system reports the same story, and every alarm has a known cause and an owned response.
